Helen and Prentiss Davis, Lake Tahoe
When I first visited Lake Tahoe and the Sierras in 1970 I knew that this
incredibly beautiful and very special place would have an important role
to play in my future.
I began training as a real estate professional in 1970 and have been
buying and selling property in California and Hawaii since 1973, but a
long career as a salesman and sales manager in consumer products kept me
away from Lake Tahoe, living and working in places like New York, Los
Angeles and The Far East. During all these years, I returned as often
as possible to enjoy the fantastic skiing at Squaw Valley, Northstar,
Alpine Meadows and Lake Tahoe’s other world class resorts. A bachelor
for many years, in 2001 I met the woman of my dreams who also happened
to be a long time Tahoe/Truckee resident. Now my wife Helen and I live
in Prosser Lakeview, Truckee with the Tahoe National Forest as our back
yard.
During the winter months we enjoy skiing, dining, shopping or just
hanging out at Northstar-at Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA, Sugar Bowl, or
Alpine Meadows, all of which are only a few minutes drive from our front
door. I’ve skied all over the world including the best of Europe and
both North and South America and I can personally guarantee the variety
and quality of skiing in North Lake Tahoe/Truckee is second to none.
When the warmer weather arrives, we enjoy the superb mountain biking on
Lake Tahoe’s many back country roads and well maintained single track
trails. A fly fisherman since my teens, I appreciate the endless
possibilities to catch trophy trout in our many streams and lakes. Last
May I took a fat, 23 inch rainbow trout from Alder Creek, virtually in
our back yard.
To complement our endless recreational possibilities, Lake Tahoe/Truckee
residents each year enjoy 320 days of clear blue skies along with low
humidity, clean air and pristine water. Best of all, between the world
famous snow dumps which we normally measure in feet rather than the usual
inches, the Lake Tahoe/Truckee area enjoys relatively mild winter
temperatures. So don’t be surprised if you see some Tahoe locals skiing
or boarding in tee shirts next January.
In the Lake Tahoe/Truckee area you will find a great variety of homes
and a strong, growing and constantly changing housing market. If your
plans and dreams include buying a home in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee
area I would sincerely appreciate an opportunity to help you make that
dream a reality. |
